This is the first proper release by Dublin-based producer Brendan Gregoriy, yet
it sounds more accomplished than nearly all the electro records released in
recent months. 'XE' is a monster track, a place where menacing bass elements
and upfont breaks brood ominously and then build in a spectacular climax, while
the title track juxtaposes melancholic synths and brittle beats with a gnarled,
warped low end. Gregoriy has tapped into an unusual sound on 'Icicle' and we
gleefully await his next move.
